What is Pierce's Disease?

Pierce's Disease is a bacterial infection, which is spread by bugs that feed on grapevines, particularly the "glassy winged sharpshooter." Grapevines that become infected with PD can quickly become sick and die.

ASEV National Conference Grapevine Virus Sessions


The PD/GWSS Board is sponsoring a session on grapevine viruses at the American Society for Enology and Viticulture National Conference in Monterey on June 19, 2025.
